This collection is a celebration of stone — a material full of character, deeply rooted in place, and too often overlooked. The idea at its heart is simple: something ancient and grounded can still feel modern, organic, and even playful.
Each piece starts as a raw piece of stone — sourced from quarries where time has already done the hard work. Our job is simply to reveal what the stone already knows. Where to shine a light, cast a shadow or leave untouched.

“Inside every piece of stone is millions of years of history — it is the craftsman’s responsibility to honour that story.”
Carved from natural stone, each lamp draws on organic shapes and some of the oldest design principles — rooted in the natural world, but shaped into something entirely their own.

Deeply fluted column with clear glass globe and filament bulb. Pronounced vertical channels create dramatic shadow play, celebrating the sculptural potential of hand-carved stone.

Organic root-like base with clear glass globe and exposed filament bulb. The smooth tapered column rises from splayed stone feet, evoking ancient tree forms.

Fluted stone base with frosted glass globe and twisted fabric cable. The ribbed mid-section creates a dialogue between precision carving and organic forms.

Polished marble with fluted bronze-veined mid-section and splayed root base. The dark stone’s dramatic white veining is picked up in the warm frosted globe.
Scaled for the bedside, the desk, the console — these lamps bring the same honesty of material to smaller, more personal spaces.

This eclectic collection of candle holders aims to showcase stone in a different light. By softening its edges, playing with scale, and pairing it with other materials, the pieces encourage a more intimate, human connection with stone.

06Every piece in the collection begins with a deliberate and patient search for the right stone. Given the scale of some of these objects, the use of “unwanted” and “rejected” stone is key to the selection process. Recycling such a noble material is not an afterthought — it is central to how these pieces are brought to life.
Where brass or other materials are introduced, they are chosen to complement the stone, creating natural alliances that stand the test of time. Over the months and years that follow, each piece will subtly transform — becoming something even more unique and personal.

The Marcus Baron Stone Collection is built on core principles: a reverence for natural materials, a commitment to artisan craft, and a belief that the most beautiful objects are those shaped by time.
Every piece uses unprocessed natural stone — no composites, no veneers, no artificial treatments. A commitment to genuine materials runs through the entire collection.
These are not trend-driven objects. They are designed to age gracefully, developing character over decades — rooted in a philosophy of enduring design.
Each piece is hand-carved by skilled artisans, ensuring the individuality and quality expected from the most treasured possessions.
While each piece is unique, the vision is to build the quarry partnerships and workshop capacity to support the volume requirements of a global retail partnership.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss The Stone Collection and if we could work together. Every piece can be customised to meet specific requirements.
